TELLER

About The Position

The Teller position plays a pivotal role in elevating member value and fostering meaningful interactions and relationships. As a Teller, you will serve as the face of the credit union, providing exceptional member service and personalized financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and positive environment for members by greeting them warmly, actively listening to their needs, and assisting in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct various financial transactions accurately and efficiently, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, ensuring that member accounts are handled with precision and attention to detail.
• Balance cash drawers and maintain proper cash levels.
• Educate members on various GNCU products and services and identify opportunities to cross-sell products and services to meet member’s financial needs.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures to safeguard member confidentiality and protect against fraud or unauthorized transactions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• 6+ months of customer service experience in a customer-facing environment (retail, hospitality, financial services, or similar).
• 6+ months cash handling experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn systems.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit and use a keyboard, multiple monitors, mouse, and telephone for extended periods.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, bend, and kneel.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Anything above 40 pounds requires a team lift.

Compensation & Benefits

• $17.07 - $23.56 per hour
• Compensation is dependent on experience.
