Small Business Intern

About the Role

Firstrust Bank is a leading financial institution offering comprehensive business banking services and products. We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Business Banking Intern to join our team. This is a Remote-PT Position. As an Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in Small Business Banking, working closely with our experienced Small Business Portfolio Manager. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge, and network in the banking industry and may lead to future opportunities with the Bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor dashboard daily to determine if maturing lines of credit or term loans pass established benchmarks for renewal.
• Work with credit officer, team lead, branch manager or small business lender based on determination and take appropriate steps based on outcome.
• Analyze credit reports and review loan documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in special projects, such as process improvements and product development, as assigned by the Business Banking Manager or Director of Credit Delivery.

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Qualifications

• High School degree and actively working towards completion of a college degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Ability to work with supervision to learn relationship management.
• Demonstrated ability to apply judgement, take initiative, handle priorities, and work under general supervision.
• Strong work habits, attention to detail, and teamwork.
