Program Aide

About the Role

Evolve Treatment Centers is seeking an enthusiastic Program Aide to join their team at the Outpatient PHP/IOP location in San Diego, CA. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of teens and their families receiving treatment for substance abuse and mental illness. The position is ideal for individuals interested in or pursuing a degree in mental health or social services fields, providing exposure and experience working with teens facing significant mental health and substance abuse issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to clients in the milieu.
• Offer one-to-one support for clients, addressing individual needs.
• Maintain awareness of client dynamics, monitoring behavior, activities, and safety.
• Conduct and facilitate psychoeducation groups and recreational activities.
• Perform crisis management and intervention.
• Document client shift notes and group notes.
• Facilitate urinalysis testing for clients.
• Establish a constructive therapeutic community according to Treatment Center policies.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Possess good personal and professional boundaries for a treatment setting.
• Ability to remain calm in a crisis situation to ensure client safety.
• Ability to be fully attentive at all times for client safety.

Qualifications

• BA degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (Preferred).
• Some prior experience working in a mental health setting (Preferred).
• Previous crisis management experience (Preferred).
• Previous experience working with teens (Preferred).

Additional Information:

• Hourly Pay: $21/hr
• Hours: Flexibility required between 8:45 am - 7:15 pm, Monday - Thursday (8 hours per day), and 9 am - 5 pm, Friday.
• This is a full-time, onsite position.
