About the Role
Runbook is building the AI workforce for the backbone of the physical economy. This role is on the post-sales Deployments team, which uses Runbook's internal product stack to train agents with real-world, operational workflows with the goal of automating core work seamlessly. This is a customer-facing role responsible for getting the AI product working inside a customer's business, learning customer workflows, deploying AI agents, and fine-tuning them for reliable autonomous execution.
Runbook is hiring Agent Ops Leads (new grads and early-career) and Senior Agent Ops Leads (experienced hires).
What you'll own
- Simplify complexity: Understand real customer work (emails, spreadsheets, document trails, legacy software) and engineer clean, reliable agents using AI tooling.
- Trusted advisor: Build rapport with customers, understand their businesses, and design how AI agents fit into their operations, becoming a strategic partner.
- Achieve autonomy: Define agent performance bars and drive them to high autonomous execution through prompt engineering, process changes, or engineering collaboration.
- End-to-end ownership: Manage deployments from pilot through production, with each problem solved feeding into product iterations for faster, better deployments.
