Banquet Set-up

About the Role

The Omaha Marriott at the Capitol District is seeking a dedicated individual to join their dynamic team as a Banquet Set-up team member. This role contributes to creating exceptional guest experiences by ensuring event spaces are impeccably prepared.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up banquet spaces as per Banquet Event Order (BEO) and provide customer service per contract.
• Assist in maintaining and coordinating banquet rooms, including setup, upkeep, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Maintain banquet facility cleanliness by cleaning and vacuuming carpets.
• Work reliably in a 24-hour operation, accommodating varied schedules and high-pressure situations.
• Aid in serving guests as necessary and understand event setup requirements.
• Organize and restock linen room and supplies.
• Attend mandatory department meetings and trainings.
• Uphold quality and service standards.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Must be detail-orientated.
• Able to multi-task.
• Produce high quality and accurate work.
• Show professionalism in all facets of the workplace.
• Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality/customer service experience is preferred.
