About the Role

Macy's is seeking a Retail Selling Colleague to blend selling with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. This role involves understanding customer needs, offering personalized recommendations, and connecting customers with products and services. The position requires achieving selling goals through customer engagement and smart selling behaviors, building trust, meeting sales targets, and inspiring loyalty. The role also includes maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting shopping space.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet teammates warmly and help ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
• Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay up-to-date on current trends and promotions.
• Engage, educate, and sell with confidence.
• Offer a warm welcome to customers on the floor, making eye contact, and creating friendly, personal conversations.
• Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
• Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have all they need, and end interactions with a sincere thank-you.
• Support teammates with honesty, care, and collaboration.
• Strive for daily improvement, take pride in work, achieve sales goals, and learn from each other.

Requirements & Tech Stack

Essential Physical Requirements

• Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
• Standing for at least two consecutive hours.
• Lifting at least 25lbs.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
• Reaching, including above eye level.
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Frequent use of computers and other technology.

Qualifications

• Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week.
• All schedules contain weekend shifts as part of the requirements.
• Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability.
