As a Specialist for Cryptocurrency Fraud Investigation, you will daily analyze on-chain transactions, wallet activities, and smart contracts to identify fraud patterns, money laundering, and suspicious activities. You will work closely with internal tech teams, create case reports, document evidence, and support the development of fraud detection tools. Additionally, you will advise project teams on best practices in compliance, risk management, and security standards within the Web3 environment. You will conduct research on new fraud methods, prepare training sessions for colleagues, and support collaboration with external partners such as exchanges, analytics platforms, and, where applicable, authorities. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze on-chain transactions, wallet activities, and smart contracts daily.
• Identify fraud patterns, money laundering, and suspicious activities.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Blockchain and Crypto Competence:
• Profound knowledge of blockchain technologies, cryptocurrencies, DeFi protocols, and smart contracts.
• Experience with on-chain analysis tools (e.g., Etherscan, Chainalysis, Nansen) is desirable.
• Analytical and Investigative Skills:
• Strong abilities in data analysis, pattern recognition, research, and forensic evaluation of digital transactions.
• Structured and meticulous documentation of findings.
• Legal, Compliance, and Security:
• Basic understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know-Your-Customer (KYC), regulatory requirements in the crypto space, and information security and data protection principles.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Clear written and verbal communication for creating reports and case analyses.
• Ability to clearly explain complex technical matters.
• Capacity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Technical and Methodological Skills:
• Proficient use of common IT tools.
