About the Role
Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. Associates learn about products using provided tools and offer information to customers to sell entire projects. They are responsible for greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing sales with customers in their assigned department, and for handling basic inquiries in adjacent departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively seek out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
- Learn about products using provided tools.
- Provide information to customers to sell an entire project.
- Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in their department.
- Handle basics in adjacent departments.
- Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas.
- Ensure assigned areas are clean, shop-able, and safe.
- Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards.
- Complete specified safety training.
- Immediately correct hazards & unsafe conditions or report them to the Manager on Duty.
- Work safely to avoid endangering themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers.
- Work in cooperation with their Department Supervisor and other associates.
