Software Engineering Intern

About the Role

Software Engineering Intern at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher company. This is an on-site role located in Chaska, Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and development tasks related to software applications and tools for Beckman Coulter’s ICE software platform.
• Work with the ICE R&D team to design, refine, and test applications, dashboards, and tools for the ICE Software Platform.
• Develop quick prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and product ideas to the team, management, product management, and customers.
• Work independently as well as with SMEs, Architects, and Product Managers.
• Work on a project under the direction of a mentor and in collaboration with other talented data and software engineers.
• Provide regular updates covering progress, problems, and solutions.
• Document findings and present work to the team at the end of the term.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience with strongly typed languages such as C++, JAVA, or C#.
• Experience with HTML-JS variants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent program (3rd year and later).
• Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A public Github profile or stack overflow threads to showcase contributions is a plus.
• Interest in Medical Devices and Healthcare is a plus.
• Familiarity with agile software development practices is a plus.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills are a plus.
