On-Site Engineering Technician I

About the Role

The Engineering Technician supports operational excellence by developing and maintaining labor standards, analyzing workflows, and implementing process improvements in a high-volume distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Accounting teams to identify inefficiencies.
• Optimize layouts and enhance throughput and ergonomics.
• Conduct time studies.
• Validate labor standards.
• Support incentive pay accuracy.
• Train managers on labor management systems.
• Leverage CAD tools for space analysis.
• Perform root cause analysis.
• Document standard work.
• Support Lean and 5S initiatives.
• Analyze production data to identify trends.
• Recommend process changes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in layout tools.
• Experience with time studies.
• Experience with lean principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Or relevant experience.
