Business Development Executive
The Conversion house
Role: Business Development Executive
About the Company
TCH is a full-stack digital marketing agency for Indian fashion, luxury, and designer brands. They focus on performance marketing on Meta and Google, and provide creatives, website, and CRM services. Their core mission is to convert ad spend into measurable sales.
About the Role
This role involves being the first point of contact for potential clients. You will work directly with the two founders.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the new-client pipeline from initial contact to signed retainer.
- Build and manage a target list of Indian fashion, designer, luxury, beauty, and lifestyle brands that advertise on Meta and Google, or are ready to begin.
- Conduct outbound outreach via Instagram DMs, LinkedIn, email, WhatsApp, and phone calls, in addition to managing warm referrals and inbound inquiries.
- Research each brand before outreach, including their ad library activity, website, product pricing, store, and social presence, and open communication with a specific observation.
- Book and conduct discovery calls to understand current ad spend, AOV, sales channels, and goals, and qualify brands against service tiers.
- Pitch retainer packages and hand over qualified leads to a founder for audit walkthroughs and proposal calls.
- Prepare proposals and follow-ups in collaboration with a founder, and close deals.
- Maintain an updated business development sheet for every lead, including stage, last contact, next action and date, and notes.
- Provide a weekly pipeline update to the founders, detailing leads contacted, calls booked, proposals sent, deals closed, and any blocking issues.
- Track the fashion D2C and designer-brand market, including new brands, launches, and funding, to keep the target list current.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Excellent written and spoken English and Hindi.
- Comfort with cold outreach and rejection, with the ability to follow up effectively without being pushy.
- A strong understanding of Indian fashion and designer brands, including key labels, sales methods, and customer expectations.
- Basic understanding of how paid ads work, including terms like ROAS, CPA, AOV, and ad spend.
- Organized and self-driven, with the ability to keep a CRM or sheet updated independently.
Qualifications (Good to have)
- Prior experience in agency sales, business development, or inside sales.
- Existing contacts at fashion or designer brands, boutiques, or fashion PR houses.
- Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and Instagram as a sales channel.
- Experience with Google Sheets, a CRM, or tools such as Asana or Zoho Projects.
