🚀 Fullstack Developer Internship

About the Role

PearlThoughts is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Full Stack Developer Interns to join our growing remote team. This is an opportunity for students, fresh graduates, and aspiring developers to gain hands-on experience in frontend development, backend engineering, database management, API integration, AI-assisted development, and end-to-end product development. Interns will work on real-world projects, collaborate with developers, and learn how modern web applications are designed, developed, tested, and deployed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications using modern frontend technologies.
• Build interactive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as React.js or Next.js.
• Develop backend services, business logic, and server-side applications using Node.js, Express.js, Python, or other relevant technologies.
• Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or other suitable database technologies.
• Implement authentication, authorization, user management, and secure application workflows.
• Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Build reusable components, maintainable code structures, and scalable application architectures.
• Debug applications, identify technical issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Write clean, readable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
• Integrate frontend interfaces with backend services and databases.
• Assist with application testing, bug fixing, performance optimization, and quality improvements.
• Work with Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
• Assist with application deployment using cloud platforms, hosting services, and CI/CD workflows.
• Learn and apply Docker, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices where relevant.
• Use AI-powered development tools to improve coding productivity, debugging, testing, documentation, and development workflows.
• Explore AI and LLM integrations in web applications, including API-based integrations and intelligent automation features.
• Maintain technical documentation and provide regular updates on assigned tasks.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with the development team.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
• Familiarity with React.js, Next.js, Vue.js, or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of backend development using Node.js, Express.js, Python, Django, FastAPI, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, and client-server architecture.
• Basic knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and version control workflows.
• Understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and object-oriented programming.
• Basic understanding of authentication, authorization, and web application security.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman is a plus.
• Exposure to deployment platforms, cloud services, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and modern JavaScript development practices is preferred.
• Interest in AI integration, LLM APIs, automation, and AI-assisted software development is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or other AI coding assistants is preferred.
• Strong logical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, frameworks, and development practices.
• Ability to understand requirements and break problems into manageable tasks.
• Good communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a remote team.
• A portfolio, GitHub profile, academic project, or personal web application is an advantage.
• Reliable internet connection and the ability to work in a remote environment.

Eligibility

• Students pursuing or graduates with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
