About the Role

As a Retail Selling Colleague at Macy's, you will blend selling that delivers results with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. You will take the time to understand each customer’s needs, offering personalized recommendations and connecting them with the right products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet teammates with a warm hello and help ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
• Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay up to date on current trends and promotions.
• Offer a warm welcome to customers, making eye contact and creating friendly, personal conversations to build customer relationships.
• Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
• Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have all they need, and end interactions with a sincere thank-you.
• Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration.
• Strive to improve every day, take pride in work, achieve sales goals, and learn from each other.
• Help keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
• Standing for at least two consecutive hours.
• Lifting at least 25lbs.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
• Reaching, including above eye level.
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers.

Qualifications

• Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week.
• All schedules contain weekend shifts.
• The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
