Sales Associate, Home Health

About the Role

BAYADA is seeking a Sales Associate to join its Oahu Home Health sales team. This role is designed to support growth in referrals and admissions. The Sales Associate will manage pending referrals, strengthen relationships with referral sources, and support access to home health services. The ideal candidate will be ethical, hardworking, collaborative, and committed to providing an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Oahu sales team with coordination, tracking, and follow-up of pending home health referrals.
• Assist in moving referrals forward by gathering information, identifying next steps, and communicating updates.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with referral sources, including hospitals, physicians’ offices, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, case managers, and social workers.
• Assist with outreach and follow-up activities to support referral growth, admissions, census development, and continuity of care.
• Coordinate and participate in on-site in-services, lunch meetings, and other relationship-building activities with referral partners.
• Prepare materials and provide administrative support for sales presentations, educational programs, meetings, and community outreach activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of referral activity, outreach, follow-up, and results in applicable systems.
• Collaborate with the Area Sales Director, Transitional Care Managers, clinical teams, intake, and operations to support a smooth referral-to-admission process.
• Monitor assigned referral activity and communicate barriers, trends, and opportunities to the sales leadership team.
• Provide responsive, courteous service to clients, families, referral sources, and BAYADA colleagues.
• Represent BAYADA’s mission, values, and commitment to compassionate care.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the Oahu Home Health sales team.

What You’ll Do in This Role

• Support both the East and West Oahu sales teams.
• Assist the team in responding to increased referral and admission volume.
• Provide focused assistance with pending referrals and follow-up.
• Work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote administrative work with office activity.
• Travel minimally for in-services, lunch meetings, and other scheduled business needs.
• Complete a structured 90-day onboarding and ramp-up period.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency with standard computer applications, email, calendars, and electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to travel locally within the assigned coverage area for occasional in-services and lunch meetings.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher; equivalent healthcare experience.
• Experience in healthcare, home health, post-acute care, customer service, sales support, referral coordination, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
• Professional judgment, discretion, and a commitment to ethical conduct.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college coursework or an associate degree.
• Experience working with healthcare referral sources or within a home health, hospice, hospital, skilled nursing, assisted living, or physician office setting.
• Familiarity with referral, admissions, census development, or care coordination processes.
• Experience supporting a sales, business development, community relations, or account management team.
• Knowledge of the Oahu healthcare community and local referral landscape.

Compensation

• Base salary range: $60,000–$65,000, paid hourly.
