Route Sales Support Driver

About the Role

Vestis® is seeking a Route Sales Support Driver to build solid, positive working relationships with customers, exceeding their expectations and requirements in a competitive environment. The role balances exceptional customer service with meeting and exceeding individual sales growth goals, acting as an advocate for the organization to generate goodwill and loyalty while maintaining professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company step van in a designated area to provide products and services to clients.
• Verify daily preventative maintenance of the vehicle and maintain proper operator documentation.
• Manage daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely product delivery.
• Load/unload product per company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Review invoices daily for completeness and accuracy, making corrections as needed.
• Meet sales goals and promote overall route growth to enhance profitability.
• Develop leads/prospects, solicit business from prospective customers, prepare service agreements, and install new accounts.
• Assist the sales organization with the procurement of additional new business.
• Understand and clearly explain services, policies, and pricing methods to customers.
• Monitor customer feedback and handle customer issues promptly and courteously.
• Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others, using proper precautions, tools, and equipment, and adhering to all safe work practices and policies.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the described activities.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent driving record.
• Customer service experience with consistent customer contact.
• Strong math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated experience selling services/products and generating new business (preferred).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to think quickly to identify and solve customer concerns.

Physical Requirements

• Routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs. and load/unload product from the truck without assistance.
• Occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ lbs.
• Requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to adverse and varying weather conditions, including extreme hot/cold temperatures.
• Fast-paced environment.
• Requires irregular and long hours.

Education

• High school degree or equivalent.
