About the Role
ARCO is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join their team. This role offers exposure to the full lifecycle of a project and mentorship from experienced professionals, with a focus on building the next generation of industry leaders.
A Day In The Life
As an Assistant Superintendent, you will:
- Attend post-award meetings to review project details and assist with preconstruction planning.
- Work with the Project Manager to develop construction schedules, sequencing, staffing plans, and equipment needs.
- Oversee daily construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications.
- Manage subcontractor activities, communicate schedule updates, and ensure work is properly coordinated across trades.
Qualifications
- Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering (other related engineering majors will be considered).
- A strong interest in the construction process, specifically design/build, tilt-up concrete, and industrial builds.
- Previous experience in construction is preferred, but not required.
- GPA 3.0 or higher is preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Valid Driver's License.
