About selfpublishing.com
selfpublishing.com helps purpose-driven individuals achieve their goals through writing and publishing books. Our mission is to help 100,000 people publish a book by 2035.
About The Role
selfpublishing.com is launching its Summer 2027 Social Media Internship Program. This is an in-person summer internship based in our Westlake (Austin) office. You will create real content for two brands: selfpublishing.com and our CEO Chandler Bolt's personal brand.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be part of the team that plans, films, edits, and ships content every week, focusing on creating scroll-stopping short-form content and understanding why it works.
- 🎬 Create original short-form content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) for selfpublishing.com and Chandler Bolt's personal brand.
- ✂️ Edit and repurpose existing long-form content (podcast episodes, YouTube videos) into short clips.
- ✍️ Write captions, hooks, and on-screen text that match each brand's voice.
- 🎥 Help plan and film content in our Austin office, including behind-the-scenes, founder content, and team moments.
- 🔍 Research trending formats, sounds, and creators in the author, book, and entrepreneurship spaces, and pitch new ideas.
- 📅 Schedule and post content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
- 📊 Track performance of your posts and share insights in weekly check-ins.
- 💬 Engage with our communities by replying to comments and DMs.
