Advanced Facilities Intern, Estimating

About the Role

Sundt is seeking committed engineering and construction management students from accredited universities/colleges for an internship focused on the preconstruction phase of projects. This role offers hands-on experience working with Preconstruction and Operations teams to support project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential clients.
• Assist in analyzing subcontractor bids and vendor proposals.
• Assist in the preparation and assembly of bid packages.
• Attend and contribute to preconstruction meetings, taking notes and assisting with follow-up.
• Help organize and maintain project documents, including plans, specifications, and addendums.
• Participate in site visits to understand project conditions and requirements.
• Support the estimating team in preparing quantity take-offs, developing cost estimates, and creating bid packages.
• Utilize modeling software (such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar) for quantity development.
• Collaborate with operational leads, estimators, and team members to ensure timely completion of preconstruction activities.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Currently enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Experience with modeling software such as Revit or Navisworks is a plus.
