English teacher

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site English Teacher role based in India, facilitated through AIESEC in Egypt.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English language lessons that build learners’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Prepare lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals.
• Conduct classroom instruction.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Organize interactive activities.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with local staff to improve teaching materials and methods.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Participate in school or program meetings.
• Contribute to cultural exchange by sharing perspectives and learning from the local community.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Classroom teaching or tutoring experience, preferably in English as a second or foreign language.
• Skills in lesson planning and learner assessment.
• Familiarity with modern teaching methods, student-centered learning, and the use of interactive activities or educational technology to support language acquisition.
• Organizational and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Strong English language proficiency, with clear spoken and written communication skills and the ability to explain concepts to learners at different levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
• TEFL/TESOL or similar certification is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and the ability to work effectively with learners from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
• Interest in youth development, cross-cultural exchange, and AIESEC’s leadership values.
• Willingness to adapt and learn in a new environment.
