Housekeeping Associate

About the Role

As a Housekeeping Associate at JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa, you will be instrumental in ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests. You will uphold the high standards of hospitality that JW Marriott is known for.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest and inter-departmental requests.
• Prepare and transport housekeeping carts with supplies to assigned areas.
• Enter guest rooms following established procedures for access and vacancy confirmation.
• Replenish guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
• Replace used linens and terry with clean items.
• Make beds and fold terry items.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Remove trash, used linens, and room service items.
• Verify the presence and working order of all in-room appliances.
• Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
• Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
• Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Properly store flammable materials.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Uphold the confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guest service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve common goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Requirements & Physical Demands

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing in excess of 25 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
• Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

• Related Work Experience: No related work experience required.
