About the Role
Reconn Utility Services is seeking individuals who are problem solvers, take pride in public safety, and are comfortable in a fast-paced, exciting work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Check gas meters for leaks and corrosion.
- Visually inspect gas meters.
- Ensure all required paperwork/data are completed.
- Report to the respective work area on time at the start of each shift.
- Identify any abnormal operating conditions while on-site.
- Accurately fill out all forms associated with the inspection visit (electronic or paper).
- Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficient at using current technology: smartphone, tablet
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one settings and while addressing a group.
- Ability to work long hours and weekends.
- Ability to use simple hand tools.
- Ability to read utility maps.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions; outdoor experience preferred.
- Must be available to work overtime and weekends (as needed).
- Must pass a drug screen.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
- Work well within a group, as well as individually.
Additional Notes:
- This position is located throughout the Fort Wayne area.
- Starting pay is $20.00/hr.
- These are daytime, full-time positions.
- Instructor-led training will be provided.
