About the Role
RECONN Utility Services is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Gas Service Technicians. This role focuses on quality and safety within the utility industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Checking gas meters for leaks and corrosion.
- Performing visual inspections.
- Ensuring all required paperwork and data are completed.
- Reporting to the respective work area on time at the start of each shift.
- Identifying abnormal operating conditions while on-site.
- Accurately filling out all forms associated with the inspection visit (electronic or paper).
- May require working weekends.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficient at using current technology: smartphone, tablet.
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one settings and while addressing a group.
- Ability to work long hours and weekends.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Must be available to work overtime and weekends (as needed).
- Ability to use simple hand tools.
- Ability to read utility maps.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
- Must pass a drug screen.
- Ability to work well within a group, as well as individually.
- Outdoor experience preferred.
Starting pay: $20.00/hr.
Daytime, full-time positions.
Instructor-led training will be provided.
Hiring throughout the Fort Wayne area.
