About the Role

Corpus Juris Group – Advocates & Solicitors is a full-service law firm dedicated to principled, precise, and result-oriented legal solutions. The firm represents clients before District Courts, High Courts, the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, and various tribunals and forums.

This is a full-time, on-site Legal Intern role based in New Delhi.

Key Responsibilities

• Support advocates and solicitors through legal research, case law analysis, and preparation of case notes and briefs.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing pleadings, contracts, legal opinions, and other documents.
• Organize case files and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare for court hearings and client meetings, including compiling documentation, creating summaries, and coordinating with the team.
• Observe court proceedings, client interactions, and internal strategy discussions to gain practical exposure.
• Collaborate with team members and manage assigned tasks responsibly.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professional ethics.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Legal research skills
• Familiarity with legal databases
• Ability to synthesize statutes, case law, and commentary into practical insights.
• High ethical standards, discretion, and commitment to client confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of Law and strong interest in diverse practice areas such as litigation, corporate advisory, and dispute resolution.
• Skills in Legal Consulting, including the ability to understand client needs, support strategic legal advice, and contribute to case strategy under supervision.
• Abilities in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and formatting pleadings, contracts, legal opinions, and research memoranda.
• Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear drafting, professional correspondence, and collaborative work.
• Capacity to identify, analyze, and interpret Legal Issues, supported by strong research, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Enrollment in or completion of a law degree (LL.B or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Prior internships in law firms or with advocates are an advantage.
