About the Role

The Commi 1 role is a full-time, on-site position based at Novetal Mumbai Juhu Beach in Mumbai. This role involves assisting in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, basic cooking, and supporting senior chefs during service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily kitchen operations.
• Perform food preparation and basic cooking.
• Support senior chefs during service.
• Follow recipes and portion standards.
• Prepare mise en place.
• Maintain workstation cleanliness.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene procedures are followed.
• Coordinate with kitchen team members.
• Respond to operational needs during peak hours.
• Contribute to consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
• Follow hotel standards.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Support a positive, professional kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Strong food preparation and basic cooking skills.
• Solid foundational culinary skills.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and food safety standards.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with chefs and team members.

Preferred but not mandatory:

• Prior experience in hotel or restaurant kitchens at a similar level.
