Hortus is an emerging import-export business focused on global sourcing, international trade, and exploring opportunities in essential oils, carrier oils and aromatic ingredients.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Export–Import Intern to support our international trade operations, supplier sourcing, market research, and business development activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Research international markets and identify potential buyers, importers, and distributors.
• Find and connect with manufacturers and suppliers in India and overseas.
• Assist with quotations, pricing comparisons, and product costing.
• Support export-import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
• Research shipping, logistics, customs procedures, and applicable trade regulations.
• Maintain supplier and buyer databases and follow up on business enquiries.
• Assist in preparing product catalogues, presentations, and business proposals.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in International Business, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
• Good communication, research, and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets.
• Interest in international trade, sourcing, and business development.
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
