Merchandise and Stocking Associate

About the Role

The Merchandise and Stocking Associate connects all the dots to ensure members can find everything on their shopping list. This role can be physically demanding, involving tasks like moving inventory, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick-up orders, and helping members while stocking shelves.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, offering guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services.
• Maintains the safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintains the sales floor and merchandise presentation in accordance with company policies and procedures, including zoning, stocking, organizing merchandise, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, and signing/pricing merchandise.
• Monitors food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards are followed, and ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with others, identifying priorities, and adapting to change.
• Ensures club pick-up orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging orders according to company policy.
• Promptly unloads trucks.
• Assists fellow associates as needed throughout the store.
• Sorts and stocks products on shelves and in the backroom.
• Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
