SAP Finance Consultant (any location India)

About the Role

Tenthpin is seeking experienced SAP Finance Consultants to join its global team. This role involves working with leading Life Sciences organizations on complex transformation programs, combining deep Finance expertise, SAP S/4HANA, and innovative thinking to solve business challenges, advise clients, and shape solutions.

The Opportunity

As an SAP Finance Consultant, you will strategically align technology with business objectives, merging your SAP Finance expertise with strong Management Consulting capabilities. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating closely with clients, including senior finance stakeholders and business process owners.
• Translating business requirements into clear to-be processes, functional designs, and innovative SAP S/4HANA solutions.
• Owning a specialist functional area from requirements and design through build, configuration, testing, deployment, cutover, and go-live.
• Introducing current and emerging SAP capabilities to clients and identifying opportunities for innovative solutions.
• Working effectively in an international, multilingual, multicultural, and multidisciplinary environment.
• Contributing to the Tenthpin Community.

Your Specialism

We are looking for experienced consultants with a specialization in one of the following SAP Finance career routes:

• Financial Accounting (FI): General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking and Cash Management, Tax, and Financial Close.
• Controlling (CO): Cost and Profit Centre Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Margin Analysis / CO-PA, and wider management accounting processes.
• Project Systems / EPPM (PS/EPPM): Project structures and WBS, planning, budgeting, costing, project financial control, settlement, and integration with FI/CO.

Deep expertise across all three areas is not required. Credible expertise in your chosen specialization, supported by broad SAP Finance knowledge and consulting maturity within the wider S/4HANA landscape, is key.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Significant SAP Finance consulting experience gained across complex transformation programs.
• Deep functional expertise in Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), or Project Systems / EPPM (PS/EPPM).
• Broad understanding of the wider SAP Finance landscape beyond your core specialism.
• Experience across multiple full end-to-end SAP implementation lifecycles (requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, go-live).
• Multiple full project lifecycles in SAP, including at least two full end-to-end S/4HANA implementations where you played a significant functional and consulting role.
• Proven ability to work credibly with senior Finance stakeholders and translate complex business needs into practical SAP solutions.
• Strong workshop facilitation, solution design, and stakeholder-management capability.
• Understanding of how your specialist area integrates with the wider S/4HANA Finance landscape and adjacent processes (e.g., Sales & Distribution, Supply Chain, Manufacturing).
• Preferred: Proven track record within a Big Four firm, major systems integrator, or specialist SAP consulting firm.
• Advantageous: Experience in Life Sciences or process manufacturing (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, medical manufacturing, or chemicals).
