COFFEE BAR ATTENDANT

About the Role

As a Coffee Bar Attendant at Gorsuch Ski Cafe & Coffee Bar, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by preparing and serving high-quality coffee and related beverages. Your primary focus will be to ensure that every guest receives prompt, friendly, and efficient service in a welcoming environment. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. This role requires a passion for coffee, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations when requested.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, including washing utensils, cleaning surfaces, and restocking supplies.
• Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and process transactions promptly.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and equipment operation.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards related to food service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or food and beverage role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Barista certification or formal training in coffee preparation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Legal eligibility to work in the specified location.

Compensation: Anticipated base salary range is between $18 - $22 hourly + tips. Rate of pay may vary.
