Job Title: Junior Civil/Structural Draftsman

Reports To: Civil Engineer
Location: Pune
About the Role
John Finlay India PVT LTD is looking for a Junior Civil/Structural Draftsman to support our Civil Engineer on structural drawing work for industrial plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed civil/structural drawings (foundations, RCC structures, steel structures, layout drawings) under the guidance of the Civil Engineer.
- Prepare GA (General Arrangement) drawings, foundation layout drawings, and structural fabrication drawings.
- Coordinate with mechanical/electrical draftsmen for integrated plant layouts.
- Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and material take-offs for civil works.
- Conduct site visits as required for measurements, verification, and coordination with site teams/contractors.
- Maintain and update drawing revisions, ensure proper documentation and version control.
- Support the Civil Engineer in vendor/contractor drawing reviews.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Diploma in Drafting/Civil Engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D mandatory)
- Basic understanding of RCC and steel structure detailing
- Good communication skills for coordinating with site/vendor teams
Qualifications
- Prior exposure to industrial/plant civil works (factory sheds, equipment foundations) is preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
- 1–2 years of experience in civil/structural drafting.
- Industrial project background is preferred but not mandatory.
