About Bluebono

Bluebono is a private real estate lending company specializing in investment property financing, including bridge loans, fix-and-flip, renovation, and construction financing. We work closely with mortgage brokers, real estate investors, and industry partners to provide flexible financing solutions. Our business combines financial analysis, credit evaluation, relationship management, and transaction execution.

Role Description

Bluebono is seeking a Business Development Analyst to support our loan origination and business development activities. This is a cross-functional, client-facing role that combines analytical thinking, business development, and transaction coordination. The analyst will work closely with brokers, borrowers, and internal teams to evaluate new financing opportunities, assist with preliminary underwriting and loan pricing, maintain business relationships, and help move transactions from initial inquiry toward closing. We are looking for someone who is analytical, proactive, detail-oriented, and confident communicating with people. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, enjoys solving business problems, and is comfortable working with both financial information and external business partners. Prior experience in real estate lending is not required. We value strong critical thinking, communication, and the ability to learn quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Relationship Management

  • Support business development activities by identifying, researching, and connecting with mortgage brokers, real estate investors, and potential referral partners.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with existing and prospective brokers and borrowers.

  • Participate in industry conferences, networking events, and business meetings to develop new relationships and business opportunities.

  • Respond to incoming inquiries, follow up with prospective clients, and maintain consistent communication throughout the loan origination process.

  • Understand client financing needs and help identify potential lending solutions.

  • Loan Scenario Analysis & Preliminary Underwriting

  • Review incoming loan scenarios and evaluate preliminary financing opportunities.

  • Gather and organize relevant borrower, property, and transaction information to support initial assessments.

  • Assist with preliminary analysis of borrower financial strength, credit profiles, liquidity, investment experience, property values, renovation plans, and exit strategies.

  • Support basic financial calculations, loan sizing, pricing comparisons, and evaluation of potential transaction structures.

  • Identify key risks, missing information, and potential challenges, and communicate findings to the underwriting and management teams.

  • Prepare preliminary loan summaries, financing proposals, and recommendations under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Transaction Coordination & Execution

  • Coordinate with underwriting, processing, appraisal, title/escrow, closing, and other internal or external teams to help move transactions forward.

  • Communicate with brokers and borrowers to request additional information, clarify transaction details, and provide timely updates.

  • Track outstanding items, deadlines, and transaction milestones to help prevent unnecessary delays.

  • Support the preparation and organization of transaction materials and internal review summaries.

  • Assist in resolving issues that arise during the loan origination and review process.

  • Business Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, loan pipeline tracking, and business development reports.

  • Analyze business opportunities, pipeline activity, and market information to support origination and relationship development strategies.

  • Conduct relevant real estate market and competitive research when needed.

  • Use Excel, Google Sheets, AI tools, and other technology to improve reporting, research, communication, and workflow efficiency.

  • Help develop and improve internal processes that support business development and loan origination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Real Estate, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate information, identify potential issues, and develop practical recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting with clients, business partners, and internal teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and genuine interest in business development, networking, and relationship building.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, financial information, and spreadsheets, including Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently when dealing with unfamiliar problems or incomplete information.
  • Willingness to learn about real estate lending, financial analysis, credit evaluation, and loan origination processes.
  • Experience with real estate, financial services, sales, business development, or client relationship management is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, data analytics, automation, or AI-enabled workflows is preferred but not required.

Ideal Candidate

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining analytical problem-solving with business development and client interaction. We are not looking for a traditional desk-based analyst or a purely sales-focused professional. We want someone who can understand the business behind a transaction, ask thoughtful questions, analyze financial and operational information, communicate effectively, and take initiative to move opportunities forward. The right candidate should be equally comfortable evaluating a potential financing opportunity, speaking with a mortgage broker, collaborating with an underwriting team, or identifying ways to improve an existing business process.

  • This role offers hands-on exposure to real estate finance, private lending, loan originations, and business development, with opportunities to develop both financial expertise and client relationship management skills.
