About the Role
This role is for a JR Software Engineer at KBR Mission Technology Solutions (MTS).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all activities associated with the design, development, implementation, maintenance, configuration management and quality control of software for scientific/engineering applications.
- Create prototypes and perform internal testing of software products.
- Respond to software discrepancies against documented requirements and provide resolution.
- Determine software maintainability and overall adherence to user requirements.
- Generate program design language and code based on mission standards.
- Generate/update project documents.
- Analyze and evaluate systems, devising computer specifications for scientific/engineering applications.
- Encode, test, debug, and install operating programs and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers in the design, development, and utilization of scientific/engineering electronic data processing systems software.
- Provide analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software for products such as utility software, development software, and diagnostic software.
- Participate in the development of engineering test strategies, devices and systems.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to successfully obtain a CI Polygraph.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 0-3 years of related experience.
- AA in related field and 3 years of related experience.
- In lieu of formal education, 10 years of related experience.
- Specific contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.
