This role focuses on designing intuitive, consistent, and accessible interfaces for complex software applications while supporting the continued development of a unified design system across multiple platforms. You’ll work closely with a Senior UX Designer and collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to turn requirements into thoughtful, user-centered solutions. You'll contribute throughout the design process, from research and early concepts to wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototyping, and implementation. This is a hands-on opportunity to grow your UX skills in a small, collaborative team while making meaningful contributions to products used by financial professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support UX design for complex software applications, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical requirements
  • Create wireframes, high-fidelity interface designs, and interactive prototypes using Figma
  • Help maintain and expand a unified design system across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency in components, patterns, and interactions
  • Work alongside a Senior UX Designer to explore design solutions, refine user workflows, and improve existing experiences
  • Translate product requirements and user feedback into clear, intuitive interface designs
  • Assist with user research and usability testing to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA teams to ensure designs are understood and implemented accurately
  • Apply established UX principles, accessibility standards, and design best practices throughout the design process
  • Help document design decisions, component specifications, and interaction behaviors
  • Participate in design reviews, share ideas, and incorporate feedback to improve solutions
  • Contribute to improving team workflows, design documentation, and overall design consistency

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Proficiency in Figma, including components, auto layout, and interactive prototyping
  • Understanding of UX fundamentals, including user flows, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design
  • Familiarity with design systems and an interest in creating consistent, reusable components
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in layout, typography, spacing, and visual consistency
  • Ability to take feedback, iterate on designs, and explain design decisions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn from others
  • A portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, problem-solving, and an understanding of user-centered design

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in UX, UI, or product design

Nice to Have

  • Interest in emerging design tools, AI-assisted workflows, and new approaches to product design
  • Familiarity with fintech, financial services, or other regulated industries
  • Understanding of accessibility standards, such as WCAG
  • Experience working with established design systems and component libraries
  • Familiarity with developer handoff processes and basic front-end development concepts
  • Experience conducting or assisting with usability testing and user research
