Sales and Operations Management Trainee

About the Role

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an entry-level Sales and Operations Management Trainee. This position offers an hourly rate of $25.

Position Summary

As a Sales and Operations Management Trainee, you will utilize your bachelor's degree to manage a business, solve customer problems, and contribute to customer success. Penske will provide ongoing training and mentoring in sales processes, technology, and company culture. You will gain foundational skills in sales, operations, finance, customer service, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop consumer and commercial customer solutions for local and national accounts.
• Manage a large inventory of vehicles, balancing fleet productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Generate new business leads and foster existing customer relationships.
• Ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor's degree required, with a preferred concentration in Business or Marketing.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Results-oriented, with attention to detail and good time management skills.
• A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability and willingness to drive Penske vehicles, including a 26’ box truck.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• This position is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file, including an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) check, a successfully completed DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History records request.
• For CDL holders, a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and subject to a FMCSA Clearinghouse review are required.
• Willingness to travel within the district as necessary.
• Ability to work the required schedule and at the specific location.
• Ability to accept responsibility for safety.
• This position is designated as safety sensitive, requiring the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Qualifications

• Internship or related work experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to read, communicate verbally and/or in written form.
• Ability to remember and analyze certain information, and understand instructions.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit.
• Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.
• Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs/12kg.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
