About the Role
The MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER, RANKING & RETRIEVAL role involves building and enhancing machine learning models that drive the organization's AI applications. The position is responsible for advancing model accuracy, performance, and deployment, ensuring ML models meet operational targets and contribute to improved user experience. This role plays a key part in delivering scalable, reliable ML-powered features and works closely with engineering and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and improve ML models for classification, ranking, retrieval, and personalization
- Develop efficient classifiers optimizing accuracy, latency, and cost
- Enhance search relevance using embeddings, hybrid search, and reranking
- Build privacy-conscious personalization models
- Develop evaluation pipelines, labeled datasets, and quality metrics
- Fine-tune and adapt existing models based on available data
- Build and maintain training, inference, and deployment pipelines
- Debug production issues and monitor model performance
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Strong foundations in ML and modern neural architectures
- Hands-on experience deploying ML models in production
- Experience with classification, ranking, retrieval, recommendation, or personalization
- Knowledge of model evaluation and performance metrics
- Ability to write production-quality code and handle real-world datasets
- Skill in balancing model quality, latency, cost, and reliability
- Strong ownership and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with embeddings, vector search, Python, and PyTorch/JAX
Qualifications
Experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Pay Range
- USD 120000 - USD 160000 yearly
