About the Role
MercyOne is seeking a Surgical Technician, CST to join their team. This is a Full Time position on the Day Shift (10 am-6:30 pm), .9 FTE (36 hours per week). The role involves performing functions in the scrub role during intraoperative patient care under the direct supervision of a perioperative Registered Nurse, adhering to established standards and supporting the philosophies of Genesis Medical Center.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functions in the scrub role during intraoperative patient care.
- Provide delegated technical functions under the direct supervision of the perioperative Registered Nurse.
- Adhere to standards and support the philosophies of Genesis Medical Center.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology; completion of surgical tech apprenticeship or military program.
- OR graduate of an LPN program with Surgical experience; or equivalent experience to demonstrate competency.
- CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa.
- CST certification is required if working in Illinois.
- LPN license is required if you are a graduate of an LPN program.
- BLS.
- Mandatory Reporter.
