About the Role

Contineu is an AI-native construction management platform focused on revolutionizing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) in the construction industry. The platform uses advanced AI models for automated defect detection and classification, aiming for faster, more accurate, and transparent quality management. Contineu employs helmet-mounted 360° cameras for site walks to reduce manual defect logging and enable data-driven decisions.

The Field Implementation Engineer – 360° Site Scanning is responsible for conducting on-site 360° visual scans of active construction sites with Contineu’s specialized capture devices. This role ensures high-quality data collection for defect identification via AI analysis, supporting Contineu’s mission to improve construction quality management. The engineer will coordinate with project teams, ensure systematic scanning procedures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform’s detection capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site 360° visual scans of active construction areas using Contineu’s helmet-mounted cameras.
  • Ensure complete and accurate coverage of designated areas according to the predefined scanning plan.
  • Coordinate with site QA/QC teams, project managers, and subcontractors to schedule scans without disrupting ongoing site activities.
  • Perform basic quality checks on captured footage to verify data usability and high quality.
  • Upload, organize, and maintain scan data within Contineu’s platform.
  • Maintain detailed logs of all scanning activities, including date, site, area covered, and duration.
  • Report on-site challenges, access issues, or scan anomalies to the central QA/QC or product teams.
  • Support pilot projects and client demonstrations as needed.
  • Gather stage-wise activity information during site visits to ensure scans align with ongoing construction progress.
  • Understand and record developer-specific quality benchmarks to ensure AI outputs meet client expectations.
  • Study and document construction workflows and QA/QC processes for each client, providing structured feedback to improve detection accuracy.
  • Identify and flag new defect types not currently included in the AI detection taxonomy by analyzing AI outputs and site observations.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC and data teams to validate AI-marked defects against real-site conditions and enhance model accuracy.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • 0–4 years of experience in construction QA/QC, site supervision, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of construction stages, defect types, and standard QA/QC processes.
  • Ability to manually identify and record defects across civil, structural, and finishing works.
  • Comfortable working at active construction sites and traveling across project locations.
  • Basic familiarity with digital tools, mobile applications, and data entry systems.
  • Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with digital site inspection tools and AI-based defect detection systems.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple site visits efficiently.
  • Knowledge of construction workflows and quality benchmarks specific to different project types.
  • Analytical skills to interpret site observations and AI outputs for continuous improvement.

Experience

  • 0 to 4 years of relevant experience in construction QA/QC, site supervision, or related fields.
  • Prior experience with site inspections, defect logging, or quality audits is preferred.

Work Environment

  • The role involves working on-site at various construction project locations across India.
  • The work environment is active, often involving physical movement and working in outdoor conditions.
  • The position requires travel between multiple project sites, with work conducted in a dynamic construction setting.
  • The role is primarily in-office at project sites, with some coordination and reporting done remotely.

Compensation & Growth

  • Competitive with industry standards.
  • Travel and accommodation expenses for site visits will be covered.
  • Potential career advancement into QA/QC technology operations and quality analytics roles.
  • Opportunity to work at the intersection of construction and cutting-edge AI technology.
  • Exposure to India’s leading developers, PMCs, and contractors.
