Job Title: Phlebotomist
About the Role
Contract to Hire position located in Thurman, IN. This is a fully onsite position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws.
- Label specimens.
- Centrifuge specimens.
- Record maintenance data and decontamination.
- Update patient information.
- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Package specimens for transport, storing them according to required temperature and in appropriate collection containers/tubes.
- Accurately label specimens and follow specific transport protocols to maintain specimen integrity.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Phlebotomy
- Pediatric experience
- Geriatric experience
- Experience performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, recording maintenance data and decontamination, and updating patient information.
- Ability to collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Ability to package specimens for transport, ensuring proper storage and labeling.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ Months of experience working as a Phlebotomist in a lab & hospital setting is mandatory.
- Phlebotomy Certification is preferred.
- Must be located closer to Fort Wayne, IN.
Pay and Benefits
- Pay: $26.00/hr
