NEW FABRIC DEVELOPER

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Ichalkaranji. The role focuses on researching trends, fibers, and weaving techniques to create new fabric concepts aligned with customer and market requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Researching trends, fibers, and weaving techniques.
• Creating new fabric concepts.
• Developing fabric samples.
• Collaborating with production teams to test and refine fabric constructions.
• Ensuring quality, durability, and cost-effectiveness of new fabrics.
• Maintaining detailed development records.
• Coordinating with sourcing and sales teams.
• Supporting continuous improvement in fabric performance and innovation.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Textile fibers, yarns, fabric structures, and finishing processes.
• Fabric development, sampling, and laboratory or mill trials.
• Ability to analyze market trends and customer requirements.
• Attention to detail.
• Understanding of quality standards and testing methods.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer tools.
• Comfort with documenting technical specifications and reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in a weaving or textile mill environment in or around Ichalkaranji is an advantage.
