About the Role
Honda Development & Manufacturing of America is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist at our engine plant in Anna, OH. You will collaborate with tier-1 suppliers and assembly lines to eliminate parts quality defects, verify engineering change points, and ensure flawless engine component manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and authorize supplier part and process change requests prior to assembly line introduction.
- Validate supplier root cause investigations and confirm the effectiveness of permanent countermeasures.
- Perform data analytics on parts defect trends and drive supplier characteristic improvement initiatives.
- Conduct physical part measurements, layout inspections, and blueprint reviews using 3D CATIA data.
- Partner with machining and assembly departments to contain defects and prevent line stoppages.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to read blueprints, interpret GD&T tolerances, and use precision measurement equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing) or 2-year technical degree with equivalent experience.
- 0-6 years of manufacturing quality experience (automotive co-op or parts inspection experience welcomed).
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, and team problem-solving skills.
