About the Role
Zycus is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Intern to join our engineering team. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, monitoring, system reliability, and DevOps practices. You will work alongside experienced engineers to help maintain highly available, scalable, secure, and reliable systems while learning industry-standard tools and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring the availability, performance, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.
- Support the automation of operational tasks using scripting and programming.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and contribute to deployment automation.
- Assist in troubleshooting infrastructure, application, and production issues.
- Learn and work with cloud platforms, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
- Help implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident management practices.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system reliability and performance.
- Contribute to infrastructure automation and documentation.
- Follow best practices for system security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong fundamentals in operating systems, computer networks, and Linux.
- Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, DevOps, CI/CD, or infrastructure concepts is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring tools, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- A willingness to learn new technologies and work in a dynamic engineering environment.
Qualifications
- Education: BE/B.E. in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
Internship Details:
- Duration: 6 months
- Monthly Stipend: ₹40,000
- Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
- Full-Time Opportunity: Candidates may be considered for a full-time position at the end of the internship, based on performance and organizational requirements.
