About the Role

Anurama Furnico is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Designer to manage furniture design, collaborate with the production team, and uphold quality standards throughout manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design furniture, including beds, sofas, dining tables, chairs, wardrobes, and cabinets.
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, technical drawings, and production-ready specifications.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, fabrics, hardware, and fittings.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
• Inspect finished furniture to identify defects, dimensional inaccuracies, and finishing issues.
• Monitor product quality at various manufacturing stages.
• Ensure furniture adheres to approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
• Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions with the production team.
• Maintain quality inspection records and report recurring manufacturing defects.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance product quality, durability, finishing, and consistency.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, 3ds Max, or similar design software.
• Knowledge of furniture materials, manufacturing processes, joinery, hardware, and finishes.
• Understanding of furniture inspection, quality control, and defect identification.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good coordination and communication skills for working with design and production teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Furniture Design, Product Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in furniture manufacturing, design, or quality inspection is preferred.
