Article Trainee

About the Role

The Article Trainee internship role at SNR & Associates is an on-site position based in Pune. The trainee will assist in audit and assurance assignments, including documentation, testing of controls, and preparation of working papers under the supervision of senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in audit and assurance assignments, including documentation, testing of controls, and preparation of working papers.
• Support taxation work such as return preparation, basic computations, and filing.
• Contribute to research for advisory projects.
• Draft summaries or reports.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Comply with internal procedures.
• Coordinate with clients for information and documentation.
• Learn to use relevant accounting and tax software.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to learn accounting and tax software.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in accounting principles, auditing concepts, and basic taxation knowledge.
• Skills in financial analysis, working with spreadsheets, and interpreting financial statements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft emails, notes, and basic reports.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
• Enrollment in or completion of a relevant professional course (such as CA, or equivalent) and prior internship exposure in accounting or finance will be an added advantage.
