About the Role

The Management Trainee (MIT) Program at SRS Building Products is a 9–12-month program designed to develop future leaders. The program offers hands-on experience in various facets of the building/landscape or pool distribution industry, with the goal of preparing participants for Branch Manager roles and beyond. Training will occur at two branch locations.

Locations: California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn every facet of the business through hands-on exposure.
• Gain exposure to warehouse operations, sales, finance, safety, supply chain, and human resources.
• Develop expertise in managing a multi-million-dollar operation.
• Network with industry experts and future leaders.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Self-motivated and self-driven with an aptitude for learning in a hands-on role.
• Willing to relocate for training and promotions.
• Ready to kick-start a successful management career path as an Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager, or Operations Manager.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Computer skills with strong capabilities in strategic thinking, organization, and time management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or within 2 semesters of graduating with a Bachelor's.
• Preferred majors: Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain, Business Management, Construction Management, or similar.
• In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, 2 plus years of related work experience is required.
• Exhibits strong leadership qualities and a dedicated work ethic.
• Proven history of success in roles requiring responsibility and accountability (experience in organizations, clubs, volunteer work, community service, athletics, or military service is highly valued).
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to relocate for training and promotional purposes within the United States.
