Senior Architect

About the Role

This role supports the Architectural design development, CAD/BIM modeling, and documentation of construction projects. The Architect assists in solving design complexities, leading specific aspects of the project and project team to complete various project phases. The Architect reports to the Project Lead or other senior team leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops, modifies, and reviews drawings, ensuring the incorporation of design intent, under the direction of the Project Lead or a senior project leader.
• Develops and implements project design concepts.
• Performs BIM/CAD modeling.
• Develops sketches.
• Conducts research and data collection.
• Prepares presentations and reports.
• Produces design and construction documents.
• Works on multiple projects, exploring new ways to achieve design solutions.
• Completes tasks within established deadlines and budgets.
• Utilizes self/resources to address project requirements.
• Interacts with lead country-based clients.
• Participates in project development.
• Presents ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Prepares, manages, and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, and details, following standards and archiving documents.
• Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established design standards.
• May assist in the development of project scope, plans, and services during the contract process.
• Prepares 2D and 3D presentations, design drawings, and renderings.
• May assist Project Designers and Project Architects with concept design development.

Task and /or People Management

• Assists the lead team and project team during the design documentation/production process, providing guidance and support.
• Manages design tasks and deliverables.
• Reports on progress against the design program to the project lead.
• Reports on progress and risks associated with the program.
• Follows organizational values and exhibits appropriate behaviors.
• Manages time efficiently.
• Assists/inputs into team meetings to review the design program.
• Manages junior colleagues, trainees, or interns when needed.

Business & Financial

• Supports the Project Lead in developing the project execution plan and forecasting resources.
• Inputs on project programming and/or financial planning.
