Associate Consultant, Air Quality

About the Role

Ramboll is seeking an Entry Level Air Quality Consultant to join the Environment & Health department, specifically within the Air & Climate Service Line. This role is based in Los Angeles or Irvine, California, or Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, enjoys thinking “outside-of-the-box,” can work in a team, and possesses strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing emissions calculations
• Conducting air quality reviews of emissions reduction or control
• Assisting in preparing major and minor source permit applications and environmental impact reports
• Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong computing skills including high-level use of spreadsheets and word processing
• Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and organization skills
• Ability to understand and interpret environmental regulations
• Database and GIS skills are preferred but not required

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, or a science degree with air quality coursework.
