Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Logistics Coordinator to support our growing Freight Brokerage Division. This is an entry-level position.

Key Responsibilities

• Scheduling and booking shipments to meet agreed transit times
• Dispatching carriers
• Tracking and tracing shipments, providing timely updates to customers
• Resolving shipment problems in a timely and constructive manner to minimize delays
• Monitoring and following up on additional costs incurred during transit to minimize order costs
• Communicating with customers in an excellent customer service manner and building rapport as a responsive and creative problem solver
• Communicating with carriers in an excellent professional manner and developing relationships as a fair business partner
• Maintaining accurate database entries (notes, shipment details, shippers, carriers, etc.)
• Maintaining accurate and timely billing entries
• Maintaining shared files and SOPs
• Contributing to a healthy working atmosphere where teamwork, communication, and a strong focus on LEGACY culture and values are expected
• Other duties, as assigned

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Strong work ethic & coachable
• Insatiable curiosity, always willing to learn and grow with the company into progressive roles and responsibilities

Qualifications

• Interest in working in the transportation industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great customer service skills
• Enthusiasm and high energy
• Transportation-related College or University education preferred
• Experience in transportation industry preferred
• Experience in intermodal/road transport, and/or brokerage environment preferred
