About the Role
LoyaltyTown by ADIION is an AI-powered Connected Manufacturing Platform. The Siemens PLC Developer will design, program, test, and commission Siemens PLC-based automation solutions for manufacturing clients using the LoyaltyTown platform. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop PLC logic.
- Configure communication interfaces.
- Integrate PLC systems with IoT devices and backend services.
- Troubleshoot control systems on the shop floor.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements.
- Optimize production processes.
- Ensure system reliability.
- Create technical documentation and support materials.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong knowledge of Siemens PLC platforms (e.g., SIMATIC S7, TIA Portal).
- Experience in PLC programming, testing, and commissioning.
- Skills in industrial automation and control systems, including sensors, actuators, HMI/SCADA integration, and fieldbus/industrial communication protocols.
- Ability to integrate PLCs with IoT devices, cloud platforms, and databases.
- Basic understanding of networking, APIs, and data exchange.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and control schematics, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in live production environments, with a focus on safety and uptime.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or process industries and familiarity with traceability, quality, or MES systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and occasionally visit customer facilities as needed.
