About the Role
As a Data Scientist Intern at HDR, you will gain real-world experience on exciting projects, connect with professionals through mentoring and young professionals programs, and contribute to various data science initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a Department Manager, Section Manager, or other professionals.
- Contribute towards a variety of data science projects, including:
- Exploratory data analysis
- Feature engineering
- Model development and training
- Develop data and generative AI solutions such as chatbots, geospatial, and geotechnical search facilities.
- Work with a variety of open source and commercial software.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Snowflake
- Azure AI services
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- 2 years completed toward a degree in Software Engineering, Software Development, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3.0+ GPA
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to your field of study/industry.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
- Local candidate preferred.
