Before and Afterschool Part Time Educator
About the Role
Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give parents peace of mind.
Schedule
- Live training expected to start in August.
- On-site schedule: Before and Afterschool 6:00 am - 9:00 am & 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm.
- Hours may vary per site.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize program materials for lessons and activities.
- Document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
- Deliver dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building.
- Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain safety, well-being, and attention of all children.
- Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play.
- Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability.
- Provide meaningful fun and employ disguised learning.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements: LIVE Scan fingerprint, FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter training, Health Certificate with Negative TB Test (from a physician).
Qualifications
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Works well in a team environment.
- At least 6 months of experience working with children under 13 years of age in a group setting (preferred).
