Junior Social Media Intern (Temporary)
Taylor Corporation
About the Role
We're looking for a Junior Social Media Design Intern (Co-op) (Temporary) who lives and breathes social media and wants hands-on experience designing for real brands. You'll work alongside our designers and strategists to research what's happening in our clients' competitive landscape, then turn those insights into scroll-stopping social content.
This is a full-time, six-month co-op from January through June 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Design static and motion social assets (feed posts, carousels, Stories, Reels covers, ads) for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and other platforms, following brand guidelines
- Conduct competitive and category research: audit competitor social channels, track trends, and summarize findings in clear, visual reports
- Help develop content concepts and monthly social calendars with the strategy team
- Resize, adapt and version assets across formats and platforms
- Monitor emerging platform features, formats and cultural moments, and bring fresh ideas to the team
- Prepare files for review and presentation, and incorporate feedback from creative directors
- Support photo and video shoots and help organize content libraries as needed
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Northeastern University student entering their first or second co-op (typically rising juniors or seniors) in a design, communications, marketing, media arts or related program
- Available to work full-time (32+ hours per week) for the January–June 2027 term
- A portfolio showing design work, ideally including social content
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with Figma, Canva, After Effects or CapCut is a plus
- Strong understanding of how each social platform works, what performs, and why
- An eye for typography, layout, color and brand consistency
- Curiosity and research skills, with the ability to turn observations into clear takeaways
- Organized, responsive to feedback, and comfortable juggling multiple projects
- Interest in beauty, fragrance, fashion or lifestyle brands is a big plus
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
What You'll Gain
- Real client work across beauty and lifestyle brands for your portfolio
- Mentorship from experienced designers and strategists
- Exposure to the full creative process, from strategy to production
